Banana stalk and raffia are native to the village of Nsamya. Namirembe Milly helps to collect these natural resources and weaves them into colorful baskets such as this. At 34 years old, she is one of the most experienced weavers at Uganda Crafts and helps train the other makers in the group. She is grateful to be working with Ten Thousand Villages saying, “Through weaving, I have been able to support myself and my family.”
